\n莫西族(Mursi)是非洲衣索比亞的一個部族，他們世代生活在衣索比亞南部的歐莫谷地，目前人口大約一萬人左右。
<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

古早時期，莫西族的男人驍勇善戰，但當男人出外與其他部落戰鬥時，莫西女人卻經常被敵人抓去做奴隸。
\n為了防止其他部落再來搶奪自己的女人，他們要求女人割開嘴唇、放上盤子，把自己變醜變恐怖之後，就不會再被擄走。
\n但此習俗流傳至今，唇盤反而成了美的象徵，女生嘴唇上的盤子愈大，表示愈美，
\n出嫁時就可以拿到愈多的聘禮。所以外界也稱莫西族為唇盤族。<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

莫西女人大多赤裸上身，身上那件薄布，白天當衣服，晚上就是床單。
\n除了唇盤之外，她們也會用燒紅的鐵器在身上烙印，形成豆點般的圖騰，
\n還會在身上及臉上塗抹花紋，用樹枝、貝殼及牛角等來裝飾自己。<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

自從1970年代，英國探險家發現這裡之後，現代文明也慢慢地在改變這個地方，
\n唇盤族新一代的年輕女性，很多已經不再割唇，而是以巨大的耳盤代替。
\n我想，在不久的將來，這個非洲古老部落的傳統習俗，也會像台灣原住民的紋面文化一樣，逐漸消失了吧。<\/p>\n
